Keystone has a long history of manufacturing metal clad switchgear from 2400V to 38kV. Historically, Keystone manufactured the switchgear, including metal fabrication and machining. In order to take advantage of manufacturing efficiencies, Keystone now purchases the building, switchgear, breakers and control components from the leading industry manufacturers. Then we do what we do best - custom assemble, wire, and test Power Distribution Centers (PDC) to our customers' detailed specifications.

Power Distribution Centers

Keystone delivers fully assembled PDCs from 5kV to 35Kv. Each PDC typically contains the following subsystems.

  • Customized metal clad switchgear
  • AC power distribution and utilities
  • DC power distribution and battery systems
  • Protection and control equipment
  • Communication systems and RTUs
  • Custom control devices and wiring
  • Field termination cabinet

All substation power centers are assembled and tested to specification.

Metal Clad Switchgear

At Keystone we specialize in highly customized and complex switchgear line-ups. Using abbreviated switchgear from major OEM suppliers like ABB, Cutler Hammer, and Siemens, Keystone can offer shorter lead-times by developing schematics and wiring diagrams in house. Our Value Proposition is to provide the switchgear the customer wants along with the relays and instruments he desires in a fully integrated and functionally factory tested offering.

Performance Tested

Every Keystone product is rigorously checked and tested as defined by our documented QA program. All equipment is point-to-point continuity tested. When specifications require, we functionally test per three lines and DC control schematics. Three phrase currents and potentials are injected and checked by phase angle meter. Every element in the DC control scheme is confirmed for proper operation. Hipot and relay acceptance testing can also be provided. All testing is conducted according to IEEE/ANSI standards.
